Hi everyone! Due to downsizing my collection, the most cherished crown jewel of my collection is now up for sale.Attention!! This is not an everyday console for casual gaming (feel free to skip if that's what you are looking for), but a globally incredibly rare digital time capsule.The fateful 12-day window:The manufacturing date (MFR Date) on the back of the console is 2008-11-07. Microsoft released the infamous NXE dashboard update exactly 12 days later, on November 19, 2008, which permanently erased the original interface from consoles worldwide. This specific unit received the pristine 2.0.6683.0 (Blades) dashboard during its final days on the assembly line and was put aside before the new software even existed! It is the rarest combination possible.Flawless condition:The controller still features the original factory pictorial first-use guide on the battery compartment. The console has been stable for nearly 17 years. 😉 I am only the second owner; the previous owner kept it as a conscious collector, just like me. It has been sitting unused, carefully stored away for over 10 years, and has only been powered on exclusively to take these photos. It has never read a CD or game disc, and it never will! The disc tray mechanism has been tested and opens/closes perfectly and smoothly.Both the console and accessories are crisp white. Since it was stored in a closed, dark place shielded from light, not a single millimeter of the plastic is yellowed or discolored.Highly recommended for museum purposes, serious collections, or display shelves.
